For the past 5 years or so, Lamppost Productions has endeavored to provide the Muslim English speaking public with access to the educational contributions of some of America’s indigenous scholars, leaders, and activists. Other than myself, we have posted authoritative testimonials and hosted webinars and classes by the likes of Dr. Sherman Jackson, Dr. Khalid Blankinship, Shaykh Muhammad Ninowi, Imam Suhaib Webb, Ustadha Zaynab Ansari, Ustadha Reima Yosuf, Shaykh Muhammad Mendes, and Ustadh Mark Manley.
In addition to our online offerings, Lamppost has served as a major resource for important essays on Islam and numerous multimedia sources on multiple theoretical and practical everyday life topics. Furthermore, we have served as one of the premier resources for the study of Maliki law, and have courageously offered our views on a number of social matters faced by the Muslim community living in the “West.”
The vast majority of our services have been free or at a very low cost. In the past year, we have seen a significant increase in the usage of our website, and this increased usage has led to a substantial rise in the cost of website hosting, maintenance, and other expenses.
